  1. Hours of Operation: Rental times can start as early as 10:00 am. All events must end by 11:00pm, leaving the last hour for clean up.
  2. Appointments: Facility is shown by appointments only; please do not visit on weekends.
  3. FACILITY IS ALSO A PRIVATE RESIDENCE – NO GUESTS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE OF THE PRIVATE RESIDENCE EXCEPT THE BRIDAL PARTY FOR CHANGING PURPOSES ONLY IN DESIGNATED AREAS.
  4. Tables & Chairs: Tables & chairs are set for your event inside the banquet room (up to 40 people). Chateau Mason tables and chairs are not to be used on the lawn without permission from owner.  Antique furniture may not be moved without permission from owner and may not be used for food at events.
  5. Smoking: There is no smoking inside the facility and must be in the designated smoking area only.  Ash trays are provided.
  6. Dancing: To protect the facility there is no dancing inside the banquet room. You are welcome to use the dance floor area in the back of the venue or rent a dance floor for the lawn.
  7. Rental Items: Must be delivered and picked up during rental times. Chateau Mason and its staff are not responsible for rental items unless expressly written under an event planner agreement.
  8. Tents: All tents must be supplied by, erected and removed by a commercial event company. All tents must be scheduled by the events manager.
  9. Parking: Please park in designated guest parking only. No parking in the back of the facility, please leave this area clear for catering and other vendors. Handicapped  parking is designated in the front area of main guest parking.
  10. Music:  All outdoor music and events must end by 10:00pm in accordance with Cherokee County, SC law.
  11. Food Service:  Food may not be served from the antique furniture. No chocolate or drink fountains inside the facility.
  12. Restrooms:  Guest restroom is located inside the banquet room. Additional portable restrooms may be rented for outdoor events.  Handicapped restroom will be provided.
  13. Unloading is permitted only in the back of the facility.
  14. Right of Entry – Owner shall have the right to enter all spaces of property at any time for any reasonable purpose; including any emergency which may threaten damage to Owner’s property, or injury to any person on the premises.
  15. Security must be provided at expense of renter for any event where alcohol is served for parties of 50 or more.
  16. Rentals -Chateau Mason LLC  may provide rental items for the event for an additional fee (i.e.: Tables, Linens, Chairs, China, Flatware, Drinkware, Decor). Any loss or damage to these rental items will be billed to RENTER following the event.
  1. No decorations may be attached to the walls, woodwork or doors.
  2. Antique furniture may not be moved unless approved by Event Manager/Owner.
  3. Candles may be placed on guest/food tables as long as they are in appropriate glass holders to be approved by Event Manager/Owner
  4. All decorations must be removed at the end of your rental time.
  5. There is no access to the upper porches.
  6. Urns/Planters in the front of the house may not be moved without written consent from Owner.
  1. Alcoholic beverages may not be sold.
  2. Beer and Wine only are permitted.
  3. A certified bartender must serve all alcohol from a stationary bar, and must be present at all times. The bartender must be supplied from a catering company or professional bartending service.
  4. No beer kegs are allowed
  5. Champagne or other beverage fountains are not allowed.
  6. Individual guests may not bring alcohol onto the premises, and may not leave the premises with poured beverages.
  7. Alcohol may only be served during specified hours, not during setup time, clean up time or during the wedding rehearsal time.
  8. Chateau Mason, LLC assumes no liability for the actions of individuals as a result of serving  alcohol. The holder of the event is solely responsible for the actions of all guests.
  9. We reserve the right to call for police assistance if necessary.
It is your responsibility to inform everyone helping with your event of the policies.

  1. Take away everything you brought to the Facility.
  2. Carry all trash from inside the house, grounds and bar area to the dumpster. We do provide trash bags.
  3. Remove all flowers, decorations and equipment.
  4. All food must be removed from the property. Catering/prep area must be swept and wet mopped.
  5. All rental equipment and personal items must be removed from the inside of the facility, please ask staff where to place items.
  1. Our guest limit for weddings and receptions is 250.
  2. Indoor ceremonies are held in the banquet room. Seating is limited to 75 guests.
  3. Outdoor ceremonies may be held on the lawn. You are welcome to use rental chairs.
  4. Chateau Mason’s tables and chairs may not be used outdoors. Rental chairs that have been used on the lawn may not be used inside the facility.
  5. Changing rooms are located on the upper level of the private residence for the bride and her party and the groom and his party. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the house. All belongings and trash must be removed.
  6. Throwing rice, birdseed, silk flower petals, sparklers & confetti is prohibited.
  7. We are not always able to grant a rehearsal time. When possible, we will give 1 hour the day before the wedding. Rehearsal must be scheduled with the events manager 30 days in advance.
  8. Additional hours, floor plans and rental balance must be confirmed 30 days in advance of your event. Please note that your event time is for set up, ceremony, reception and the last hour for cleanup.
  9. Please provide bottled water for your family and wedding party.
  10. Wedding coordinator can be hired for an additional fee, please ask Events Manager for details.
